[Saw Handle]This project really cut into my time
This project was an exercise in anthropometrics essentially. To start out, i found a problem with an existing hand tool. I selected a simple hand saw, and discovered that while the handle provided clearance for small hands, it did not all much room for the larger hands of men, and possibly some beefy women. The handle was down right frustrating if you want to wear gloves to work. You simply could not wear work gloves and get a good grip. It was near impossible to even get all four fingers through, much less close a grip around the handle.

Well i decided this was not acceptable, and decided to remedy the situation with a new handle. My design has an open handle, so getting your hand in the grip is no longer a problem. It also allows a much greater clearance to ensure that even the largest gloved hands wont scrape their knuckles on the handle.
The grip also narrows at the top to provide a small enough handle so that smaller hands have no issues with gaining adequate purchase. The top of the handle is also rounded to provide a comfortable rest for stabilizing the saw while cutting.
