A corporate sponsored studio is a blessing to the wallet of a design student. In short it means that your materials are paid for, and in this case it meant that I could afford spending money to make a final model in 22gauge stainless steel.

As usual, lots of sketching started off the project. Twenty initial concepts were presented to the Broan people, and from there, they directed us towards the concepts that they felt were most promising.

Research concerning manufacturing as well as market research was all done simultaneously with the conceptualization.

On a side note i was also learning to weld.

Sketch models were done as more details concerning fan placement and model, lights, and filters used.

A full scale mock up was then done before fabrication of the final model was started...click to continue
