Above you can see a sample of the sketches that were generated early on in the design process.

A few promising concepts were selected and developed further. From early on in doing research it was determined that the new design must alleviate some of the cleanliness issues consumers had with the grill.

To help reduce the mess associated with using an electric grill a self aligning drip tray was implemented. The drip tray slides in between the front feet of the grill ensuring it is properly aligned. This prevents grease from dripping off the drip tray and onto the counter. The drip tray also provided an area for any cooking utensils to be placed between use. This concentrates everything that comes in contact with the draining meat and fat into one dishwasher safe tray.
